The reunion of young atlanticists foreruns the NATO summit held in April, and it represents "a special opportunity for future leaders in the Euro-Atlantic region to meet and debate current topics in the international security environment," said a press release issued by the Romanian Intelligence Service, or SRI.
Within the reunion, the future leaders of allied and partnering states will benefit from multiple connections secured through live feeds via Internet, blogs, video-conferences and regional and international mass-media, the press release states.
SRI also states that the "Network of Young Atlanticists” will be launched in Bucharest, and it is an online forum offering the possibility for future leaders to continue, after the NATO summit, the talks on the challenges faced by the Euro-Atlantic Community.
SRI chief George Maior, USA Atlantic Council president Frederick Kempe, and the president of the Euro-Atlantic Council in Romania – NATO House, Alexandru Serban, will present the event Wednesday in a press conference.
