Power, Gas Price Hikes Should Not Trigger Rise In Food Prices – FinMin

The increase of energy and gas prices will contribute to the rise of agricultural products costs by less than 1% this year, Economy and Finance Minister Varujan Vosganian said on Friday.

Vosganian added the higher costs would not determine a rise in prices.

Following discussions with the National Bank of Romania, Vosganian said the ministry plans to increase efficiency in  agriculture to prevent a rise in food prices.
