The Central Electoral Office rejected last week the electoral insignia of the alliance supporting Cozmin Gusa, as well as the organization’s insignia for Bucharest, at the proposition of the conservative and liberal representatives within the office, Vlad Hogea and, respectively, Tudor Chiuariu.
Cozmin Gusa running for Bucharest City Hall supported by the electoral alliance "Lista lui Cozmin." The campaign insignia of the new alliance is formed of two red semicircles, crossed by a white line that has the words: "Ne-am saturat cat ne-au furat" (we are tired of them stealing from us t.n.) written in red, on two rows, while the bottom semicircle has the words "Lista lui Cozmin" written in white.
National Initiative Party leaders feel that the electoral office decision to reject the insignia is "a stab at free competition," for which reason they have challenged the decision with the issuing structure, the court and the High Court of Justice.
