By teams, Romania took home the gold medals in the women’s competition, with a score of 20,050, followed by two Russian teams, with the scores 20,050 and 19,900.
In the mixed competition (woman and man duo), Romanian took the gold medal, through the team Bianca Becze – Marius Petruse (19.50), followed by the silver medal taken by Iulian Cimpoiu-Delia Lacataru (19,300) while bronze went to Russia’s Streltsova/ Dzhanazyan (19,300).
In the women’s individual competition, the medals were distributes as follows: Maria Luisa Pavel (20,200), Linda Bucsanszki (Hungary, 20,150) and Maria Bianca Becze (9,950). Also in the women’s competition, Romania climbed the podium twice in the trio section. The gold medals went to the team formed of Maria Luisa Pavel, Anca Surdu and Oana Constantin (score 19,400), silver went to the team formed of Claudia Eremia, Andreea Dinca and Andreea Bogati (19,400), while bronze went to Russia (19,400). The tie was broken through the difficulty of the technical elements.
In the juniors individual competition, age group 15-17, Marius Petruse obtained the bronze medal, with a score of 19,500, behind Austria’s Martin Warren (20,550) and Spain’s Li Vicente (20,150).
The seniors competition will take place Friday with Romania as favorite.
