Romania’s Apr Indus Sales Up 17.5% On Yr

Romania’s industrial sales rose 17.5% on the year in April due to 40.6% growth in the energy sector and 16.3% hike in the manufacturing sector, the National Institute of Statistics, or INS, said Wednesday.

Output in the mining sector dropped 14.7% on the year in April.

Romania’s industrial sales decreased 4% on the month in April due to lower results in all the three main sectors.

The energy sector sales were down 14.4% on the month in April, the mining sector sales were down 18%, while manufacturing sales decreased 1.8%.
