Adomnitei said he was notified about possible information leakage and that several of the notifications checked out.

“In my opinion, the leakage came from the exam centers,” Adomnitei said.

On Friday, the Ministry of Education said teachers who help students to take their baccalaureate tests or who forge papers or are negligent in fulfilling their duty will be sanctioned in accordance with the Criminal Code.

The ministry said disciplinary penalties include written observation, warning, salary decreases etc. and they can go as far as dismissing the guilty party.

This year’s baccalaureate session of June-July started on June 23.

The first test was Romanian language and literature – the oral exam.
