Eastern Romania Gets Code Orange Warning For Floods

Romania’s National Institute for Hydrology and Water Administration issued code orange warning for floods in seven counties in the country’s eastern region of Moldavia, the National Water Administration (ANAR) said Thursday, citing the Institute’s updated warning.

The warning was issued for counties Suceava, Botosani, Iasi, Neamt, Bacau, Harghita and Vaslui, forecasting heavy rains and increased flows on rivers Siret and Prut expected Thursday through Friday.
The code yellow warning for heavy rains and thunderstorms issued Wednesday is still valid for counties Maramures, Satu Mare, Salaj, Bihor, Bistrita Nasaud, Cluj, Arad and Vrancea.
