The operator will operate the two national short numbers for harmonized social services as follows: the number 116000 will be allocated for the Association of the Romanian Center for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children, and the number 116111 will be allocated to the Children’s Hotline Association, the regulator said.

Romtelecom needs to activate the numbers within six months of allocation.

Throughout the license validity period (until Jul 25, 2018), Romtelecom is obliged to ensure that the services are available non-stop (24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the country), that information on the availability of the service is easily accessible and that callers are informed when the service is to become available.

Access to these services will be free of charge and unconditional.

No applications have been submitted for the assignment of the social service number 116123 for hotlines offering moral and emotional support.
