The Standing Office within the Chamber of Deputies decided, with five pros and three cons, the summoning of an extraordinary session on August 13, at 11:00 local time. The meeting agenda will contain two items: the flood situation and the approval of criminal investigations against former ministers Adrian Nastase and Miron Mitrea.

Chamber Speaker Bogdan Olteanu said, after the Standing Office meeting, that for the first item on the agenda Prime Minister Calin Tariceanu will present a report on the situation of damages caused by floods and the measures to be taken to hinder flood effects.

Olteanu also said the second item on the agenda will be a reprise of the vote on the approval of criminal investigations against former ministers Adrian Nastase and Miron Mitrea.
