Olteanu proposed in a meeting of the Standing Office of the Chamber of Deputies the introduction of the lustration law on the Chamber’s agenda, which does not benefit from a report of specialized parliamentary commissions.

“I proposed that the lustration draft law be introduced in the Tuesday’s agenda without the report, to have it discussed and voted on today (Tuesday – e.n.) and my suggestion was approved by the majority of votes of the committee of the leaders of the parliamentary groups,” Olteanu said.

Olteanu said he also proposed for discussion the law banning cyanides in mining activities without the report of the special committees, but the leaders of the parliamentary groups decided this draft law should first be analyzed and assessed by the respective committees.

The Chamber of Deputies will have a plenary meeting on Tuesday after the joined meeting of the Parliament, when the no-confidence motion on education filed by the Democratic Liberal Party will be read.
