According to sources close to the matter, Nokia put at least 100 temporary employees from two sub-contracting companies on technical unemployment, due to the seasonal character in the mobile device production industry.

Head of Nokia Romania Trade Union, Cristian Copil, stated that the technical unemployment measure will not affect union members and permanent employees.

The plant, established in February 2008, represents a total investment of EUR60 million and employs approximately 1,800 people.
