"A solution with democrat liberals is more likely than one with liberals, but this is far from being set in stone,” Mitrea sadi, adding a government with democrat liberals would be easier to achieve at this point.
Mitrea also said the possibility for social democrats to stay in opposition is not to be ruled out, saying the party isn’t willing to be part of the government under any circumstances.
He added negotiations won’t start until Friday and said he did not talk to President Traian Basescu, who would obviously prefer a government that includes democrat liberals.
"Traian Basescu hasn’t intervened so far, hasn’t spoken to anyone, although he has a clear affinity for the Democratic Liberal Party,” Mitrea said.
