Romanian Authorized Individuals Have Until Apr 25 ’09 To Declare Themselves Active

Romanian authorized individuals, individual enterprises and family enterprises can choose, until April 25, 2009, to continue commercial activities, otherwise they will be removed from the registry, said the Romanian National Trade Registry (ONRC).

"On April 25, 2009, the deadline will expire for the right to choose the continuation of commercial activities in one of the forms mentioned in Government Emergency Ordinance 44 of April 25, 2008 on the unfolding of economic activities by authorized individuals, individual enterprises and family enterprises. The provision targets individuals and family associations registered in the trade registry, based on normative acts prior to the aforementioned emergency ordinance," said a press release issued by the trade registry.
 
After the mentioned date, the parties involved, and which have not chosen to continue activity, will be removed from the registry without any other formality.
 
In Bucharest alone the trade registry is expecting over 20,000 traders to unfold formalities, as in the first eight months since the coming into force of the ordinance there were only 2,000 authorized individuals interested in these formalities.
