Geoana said the two parties haven’t agreed Friday on whether or not to include the Hungarian minority party in the future government and are expecting an answer from democrat liberals on the issue Saturday.
He added that over 90% of the technical aspects of the governing program have been agreed upon, and the two parties established 25 priorities, including economic stability, protection and gradual increase in purchase power and investments in infrastructure.
Asked whether the social democrat – democrat liberal coalition government is jeopardized by the inclusion of Hungarians, Geoana said the coalition is not complete “without the signatures of the two party presidents".
Democrat liberal leader Emil Boc said the party’s leaders will meet Saturday to decide what to do about the Hungarian party, with which it promised to collaborate.
Regarding the governing program, Boc said the two parties agreed to keep the flat tax and grant tax deductions to people with low incomes. The two parties also plan to reform the main sectors managed by the government. He added the Democratic Liberal Party and the Social Democratic Party will meet again Saturday for talks on their governing plans.
