The intermediate form of the governing agenda dealt with reviving the political relations with the Russian Federation on pragmatic basis, of mutual respect, according to the already existent reports between the European Union and the Russian Federation and their interests in the economic sector, and pointed that a “sustained” political-diplomatic action will be a priority in order to recover the country’s thesaurus that is now in Moscow.

The final version of the governing agenda makes no reference to the Thesaurus in Moscow, but speaks of further encouraging openness in the bilateral relations with the Russian Federation, especially in the economic sector, and of an active contribution to the relationship between the European Union and Russia.
