Romania Gets Code Yellow Warning For Snow, Strong Wind

Romania’s national meteorological authority on Thursday sent out yellow code warnings for 17 counties in eastern and southeastern Romania where snow and strong wind are expected Thursday through Saturday.

According to meteorologists, wind is expected to reach up to 60 – 70 kilometers/hour and create snowstorms.
 
The warning targets counties Suceava, Botosani, Iasi, Neamt, Bacau, Vaslui, Vrancea, Galati, Buzau, Braila, Tulcea, Constanta, Prahova, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Calarasi and Ialomita, as well as capital city Bucharest.
 
Hydrologists also issued code yellow warning for heavy rains until Thursday afternoon, which will increase flows on rivers in counties Valcea, Mehedinţi, Gorj and Dolj.
