Romanian Pres: EIB To Allot Romania EUR1B Each Year

The European Investment Bank will assign Romania around EUR1 billion each year in the next few years, Romanian President Traian Basescu said Thursday after meeting EIB management in Luxembourg.

Basescu said that EIB management told him that the lender would put yearly at Romania’s disposal EUR1 billion.

The president added the money would be used to establish a fund at Government’s disposal for attracting EU structural funds.
