Sub-committee president Daniel Buda said this amendment, formulated by conservative deputy Bogdan Ciuca and democrat liberal senator Iulian Urban, is imperative in the Civil Code, as it allows parents to interfere with the correspondence and social interactions of children aged up to 14 in cases and situations that could affect the child’s interests and welfare.

The subcommittee analyzing the Civil Code concluded works for Wednesday and will reconvene Thursday morning.
