Romania’s Pvt Pension Funds Assets Up 11.6% End- Mar, To RON1.31B

Romania’s private pension funds net assets, operating the mandatory and facultative segments, reached 1.31 billion lei (EUR1= RON4.1549) at the end of March, up 11.6% compared with end-February, according to the Surveillance Commission of the Private Pensions System CSSPP.

Thus, private pension funds operating the mandatory segment (Pillar II) posted total net assets of RON1.202 billion end-March, up 11.7% from end-February.
 
A number of 14 companies operate on this segment, each managing a pension fund. By assets, the first three pension funds are managed by ING Pensii with RON468.1 million, Allianz-Tiriac Pensii, with RON281.35 million, and Generali Fond de Pensii, with RON96.05 million.
 
Private pension funds operating the voluntary private pension segment (Pillar III) posted total net assets of RON110.48 million end-March, up 10.2% from end-February.
 
A number of ten pension funds operate on this segment. The top three voluntary pension funds by assets are ING Optim, with RON27.15 million, BCR Prudent, with RON26.85 million, and ING Clasic, with RON17.13 million.
