“Regarding recent events in our capital, MAEIE has called Ambassador Lidia Gutu to Chisinau for discussions,” the statement said.

The Tuesday demonstrations in Chisinau turned to violent protests, as protesters seized the headquarters of the Parliament and the Presidency. Following elections Sunday, the ruling Moldovan Communist Party obtained the majority votes in Parliament, but the opposition disputes the result.
