Renault asked Romanian authorities for state aids totaling EUR170 million, including a EUR100 million state guarantee for a loan taken from the European Investment Bank and EUR70 million for RTR and suppliers of Dacia and Nissan.

Boc stated in March, during the Mediafax Talks about Auto Industry conference, that the government and Renault group are already in talks to find ways of collaboration for the center in Titu.

The prime minister said at that time Romania is ready to support Dacia, Renault as well as other companies operating in the Romanian auto industry, according to EU legislation.
