The Roman-Catholics celebrate Easter on April 12, one week ahead of the Orthodox Church.
Most of the Romanians of catholic belief live in center western region of Transylvania. Harghita is the county with the highest number of catholics, namely over 200,000, followed by counties of Bacau (nearly 120,000), Timis (80,000), Satu Mare (over 66,000) and Neamt (over 60,000).
Romania has a population of 21.3 million people, according to official statistics published in 2008.
