According to Cristina Tatulici, spokesperson for the Galati County Police, the two individuals had hoods on their heads and their faces covered with scarves, and threatened the cashier with a gun and a tazer. According to the quoted source, during the robbery, the cashier desk door was open and the vault was unlocked.
Cristina Tatulici said at 09.22 the cashier called the police and said she was robbed.
"The two were young men, according to the cashier’s statements. We have not identified too many witnesses at the scene," Tatulici said.
She added there is no group of suspects at the moment and police are trying to collect as much information as possible from the witnesses and are reviewing the surveillance footage.
According to Tatulici, the cashier pressed the panic button and contracted guards arrived on location within one minute, while police arrived within three minutes since the call reporting the robbery.
