The display was held in two 20 minute rounds, but the short, 1.2 kilometer distance did not allow the car to reach full speed.
At the end of the display, Coulthard went one lap around the track waving the Romanian flag in front of an audience of 10,000. In addition, Coulthard left the racecar and took another lap in an Audi R8 car.
Throughout his career, David Coulthard (38) competed in the F1 for the teams Williams Reanult (1994-1995), McLaren-Mercedes (1996-2004) and Red Bull Racing (2005-2008). He was at the starting line in 246 Formula 1 races, won 13 of them and was in the pole position in 12 races. He ranked among the top three 62 times and won a total 535 points. His best season was in 2001, when he ranked second to then world champion Michael Schumacher, from Ferrari.
