Thus, the number of people infected with the AH1N1 virus in Romania reaches ten.

The person who arrived from Toronto Monday went to the National Infectious Diseases Institute "Matei Bals" with AH1N1 flu symptoms.

At the moment, the patient is hospitalized and is kept under medical supervision. Doctors said the patient is receiving antiviral medicine and is in good shape.

At the same time, sanitary authorities have initiated epidemiological investigations to identify the patient’s contacts. "Given that initial research shows the patient only went from the airport towards home, specialists expect the number of contacts to be low," said the Ministry of Health.

All AH1N1 virus patients treated at the infectious diseases hospital have been released Tuesday and the "Cantacuzino" Institute has not confirmed any new AH1N1 virus infection cases.
