The two patients are the parents of a 37-year old man who arrived on June 10 from Canada, the Romanian Health Ministry said Sunday.

The two were hospitalized at the “Matei Bals” infectious diseases hospital, along with their son and his wife. The four are kept under medical supervision and receive antiviral medicine.

The ministry said all AH1N1 virus patients hospitalized in Bucharest so far, as well as the little girl admitted at the "Victor Babes" infectious diseases hospital in Timisoara, on June 13, are in a good state.

Nine of the sixteen people infected with the AH1N1 virus have already been released from hospital.

Romanian health minister Ion Bazac on Friday underscored Romania does not register cases of widespread infections, adding that, apart from basic hygienic rules, Romanians need not make any changes in their daily lives.

Bazac mentioned masks will be distributed to border police and doctors who come in contact with people coming in from some of the states most affected by the new virus, such as the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

On Thursday, WHO officially declared the swine flu a pandemic, raising the alert to the highest level of six.
