The Romanian embassy is in talks with authorities in Belfast for expatriation procedures.

Several families of Romanians of Roma ethnicity have been living in terror for the past few days because of recent racist attacks targeting them along other immigrants. About 130 Romanians who requested protection were housed in the hostels of Queen’s University in Belfast.

Countless politicians, including British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, condemned these attacks.
