This is the second infection confirmed in Romania over the past two days.

On Saturday, the health ministry announced a 15-year-old teenage girl who flew in from Canada last week was positively diagnosed with the A-H1N1 influenza virus.

So far, none of the A-H1N1 influenza cases confirmed in Romania resulted in the patient’s death.

Worldwide, the new A-H1N1 virus infected 59,814 people in 113 states, leaving 263 people dead, according to the latest figures released by the World Health Organization (WHO).
