According to Guzganu, the local public health inspectors are closely monitoring the Romanian pupils and the 60 school employees.

Furthermore, the two infected pupils have been separated from the rest of their group, while the nineteen British pupils staying in one of the school’s hostels are also under constant supervision.

Romania’s Cantacuzino Institute confirmed Monday two more cases of infection with the H1N1 virus, in two teenagers who arrived in Iasi, eastern Romania, from the U.K., on June 23, the Health Ministry said.

The two are part of a group of 22 people, 19 teenagers and three teachers, who take part every year in a social project in a Care Center for children with disabilities.

The patients are being treated at the infectious diseases hospital in Iasi and they respond well to treatment, the Health Ministry said.
