Meteorologists updated the yellow code advisory and warned temperatures will frequently exceed 35 degrees Celsius throughout most of the country Friday afternoon, while along the Danube, temperatures may rise to 38-39 degrees in isolated areas. The temperature-humidity indicator will exceed the 80 threshold particularly in plain areas.
The advisory is valid for Friday between 2 and 8 p.m. for capital Bucharest and counties Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad, Timis, Caraş-Severin, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Valcea, Gorj, Mehedinti, Dolj, Olt, Arges, Teleorman, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Prahova, Buzau, Ialomita, Calaraşi, Constanta, Tulcea, Braila, Galati, Vrancea, Bacau, Vaslui, Neamt, Iasi and Botosani.
On Saturday afternoon, the weather will continue to be hot in the south and east of the country, with temperatures as high as 37 and even 39 degrees Celsius. In the west, center and north of the country will see gusty wind, thunderstorms and rain. The advisory for Saturday is valid between 2 and 8 pm and targets capital Bucharest and counties Iasi, Vaslui, Vrancea, Galati, Braila, Tulcea, Constanta, Ialomita, Calarasi, Buzau, Prahova, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Dambovita, Teleorman, Arges, Olt, Valcea, Dolj, Gorj and Mehedinti.
