"Romanian Prime Minister invited the IMF delegation at the Government headquarters Wednesday evening for talks that bring together all ministers. We hope the government’s weekly meeting will not take too long, to allow time for discussions with the IMF officials," the same sources said.
The IMF delegation arrived in Bucharest on July 28 for the first evaluation of the stand-by loan agreement and talks will end on August 10.
Romania agreed with the IMF a EUR12.95 billion stand-by loan, as part of a EUR19.95 billion financial rescue package that also includes funds from the European Commission and other international institutions.
