Romanian PM Calls For Ready Documents For Agencies’ Reorganization

Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc on Saturday asked all ministries to prepare until the next government meeting all normative acts needed to restructure agencies, which will be first discussed in the coalition’s meeting on Monday, government sources told MEDIAFAX Saturday.

According to them, the Justice Ministry has to approve all drafts until Monday evening.

The Romanian Government decided to reorganize 226 agencies and leave only 107, by scrapping 9,200 jobs and directing their revenues to the state budget, which would translate into total savings of EUR150 million.
 
Of the 107 agencies, 33 are conditioned by Romania’s relations to the European Union, Boc said.
