Romanian PM Announces Structure Of New Govt After Social Democrats’ Pullout

Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc announced Thursday the structure of the new Government following the resignation of the social democrat ministers.

Boc will take over the Education Ministry for the time being and the other democrat liberal minister will be nominated interim ministers of the portfolios which previously belonged to the social democrats.

Justice Minister Catalin Predoiu will be interim head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Economy Minister Adriean Videanu will run the Health Ministry.

Transport Minister Radu Berceanu will take over the Agriculture Ministry.

Finance Minister Gheorghe Pogea will be in charge of the Labor Ministry.

Communications Minister Gabriel Sandu will be the interim minister for SMEs.

Youth and sports minister Luminita Placinta will be in charge of the Ministry for the Relation with the Parliament.

Boc said the interim period will last 45 days maximum and the justice minister will keep his position as independent minister within the cabinet.
