Romania’s „Police, adjective” Gets Fiction Feature Award At Barcelona L’alternativa Festival

“Police, adjective” by Romanian director Corneliu Porumboiu was warded best fiction feature at the Independent Film Festival l'Alternativa held in Barcelona between November 13 and November 21, according to the festival’s website.

„Police, adjective” is the second feature film written, produced and directed by Porumboiu, after his 2006 success „12:08 East of Bucharest”.

Porumboiu’s second film is Romania’s Oscar proposal for best foreign language film. The film got the FIPRESCI award and the jury’s prize in this year’s Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival. The film got the trophy of the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Age D’Or award at the International Film Festival in Belgium.
