The jury said the film was awarded a special mention „for its esthetics, story and brilliant performance, for its social engagement and philosophical perception”.

The film got the trophy of the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Age D’Or award at the International Film Festival in Belgium.

„Police, adjective” was also awarded best fiction feature at the Independent Film Festival l’Alternativa held in Barcelona between November 13 and November 21.
