Bute scored a knockdown early in the fourth round, causing Andrade to fall forward onto all fours. Andrade managed to beat the count but was on wobbly legs for the remainder of the round until Bute finished things with an explosive body shot.

The 29-year-old Bute has a record of 25 wins, of which, 20 by knock-out. Bute is the first Romanian boxer to knock out 30-year-old Andrade.

Bute had knocked out Andrade for the first time on October 25, 2008, in Bell Centre, Montreal. After sending Andrade to the canvas in the tenth round, Bute nearly collapsed in the final round but was saved by the bell and retained his title.

Bute became IBF super-middleweight boxing champion on October 20, 2007 after knocking out Columbian Alejandro Berrio in Centre Bell, Montreal. Since then, Bute has successfully defended his title three times in the bouts against American William Joppy on October 20, 2007, Mexican Librado Andrade on October 25, 2008 and Columbian Fulgencio Zuniga on March 14, 2009.
