„It has been a very tough campaign. My mission was difficult in this aggressive campaign. In this campaign my opponent was not Radu Stroe but the structure at District 1 Hall,” Prigoana said after learning the results of the poll held Sunday.

Over 44,500 registered voters in a constituency in Romania’s capital Bucharest were expected at the polls Sunday to elect their new representative in the Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies after liberal Bogdan Olteanu resigned last year to be deputy governor of the country’s central bank.
