„The Danube flows are rising and they are currently above warning levels – corresponding to code orange – at the hydrometric stations Gruia, Calafat, Bechet and Turnu Magurele. In the near future, the rise of the Danube will not be significantly influenced by the added water from neighboring rivers, as long as said rivers remain below warning levels,” ANAR informed.

Still, specialists say there is no cause for concern, since the flow of the river is currently at some 11,000 cubic meters per second upon entry on Romanian soil.

ANAR experts warned, however, that there is a risk of floods for buildings in harbors and ports, found on the banks of the river.

According to ANAR expert expectations, the Danube will not have a flow stronger than 12,000 cubic meters per second in this period.
