Grosse added that TUI Nordic officials will also meet with Romania’s Tourism and Regional Development Minister Elena Udrea.
TUI Nordic had brought nearly 8,000 tourists to the Romanian seaside until 2005.
In 2006, TUI Nordic cancelled its tourist program for Romania, citing the bad reputation of the Romanian seaside abroad.
Grosse said TUI Nordic estimates to bring nearly 10,000 Scandinavian tourists to the Romanian seaside in 2011.
Germany’s TUI, one of the world’s leading tour operators, will resume operations in Romania this spring with a charter flight from Munich to the Romanian Black Sea Coast, which will be operated by Air Berlin as of May 18.
TUI discarded its flights to Romania in 2006 and eliminated from its catalogues any destination towards Romania, citing bad accommodation conditions, high hotel prices, too much noise and dirty resorts.
