Romanian Prison Drama Actor Detained For Breaking And Entering

Romanian amateur actor Papan Chilibar, who played a supporting role in this year’s Berlin Silver Bear winning prison drama "If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle", was detained by Bucharest police Wednesday evening for breaking and entering, along two other suspects.

Bucharest police spokesman Christian Ciocan said Thursday morning the man had four accomplices, of whom two were detained Wednesday evening, one was already under arrest for other felonies and one is wanted.

Ciocan said the suspects broke into three homes on ground and first floors of apartment buildings back in January and allegedly stole goods worth over 80,000 lei (EUR1=RON4.1355).

Chiliban has served two years in prison before for breaking and entering.
