The airports in Targu Mures, Bacau, Iasi, Suceava, Constanta and Tulcea will remain closed, but it is likely they will be opened Tuesday morning at 7 a.m., Prime Minister Emil Boc said. Their situation will be determined Monday evening, at 9 p.m..

Boc warned that the airports’ reopening does not mean passengers are able to travel to any country and advised travelers to check their destination with the companies which issue tickets.

Air traffic over Romania has been halted since Saturday afternoon, due to the approach of a volcanic ash cloud caused by an eruption in southern Iceland.
