Lukoil Romania currently has 310 gas stations.

Moreover, the company decided that all the oil products obtained at its Petrotel-Lukoil refinery in the southern city of Ploiesti will be delivered to the local market, and the unit will reduce its gas emissions after completing this year an investment of over $100 million, Tampiza said.

Since the beginning of the year, Lukoil’s sales dropped 5-6%.

„All the units began to lower their refining volumes in order to reduce losses, as our six-month sales fell 5-6%,” Tampiza added.

Lukoil bought from the state the main stake in Petrotel refinery in 1998, for $53 million. Since then, the group invested over $230 million in upgrade works and another $285 million in the warehouse and gas station network.

Lukoil Romania is owned by Dutch-registered Lukoil Europe Holdings, with a 99.9% stake.
