Romania’s Standard Snacks Enters Insolvency

The courthouse in Romania’s capital city Bucharest has recently approved the start of insolvency proceedings for snacks and chips maker and distributor Standard Snacks, at a creditor's request.

Piraeus Leasing asked for Standard Snacks’ insolvency over a EUR100,000 debt.

Mid-May, Standard Snacks estimated for this year sales of around EUR16.5 million, up 10% from around EUR15 million in 2009.

Standard Snacks employs around 400 people and has ten units countrywide.
