Boc told a news conference he is not at all nervous when it comes to the no-confidence motion oppositions social democrats have announced they will submit to Parliament this fall.

„I’m not nervous, why should I be nervous? We’ve been through this before so I don’t see anything to worry about,” the prime minister said.

He added he isn’t working for himself in the government but for the country and he is willing to take political and image risks.

„There is a political and image cost but Romania needs restructuring. It won’t be able to borrow money forever for consumption. The government is doing the right thing and results will show in 2011 and 2012,” Boc said, adding the country’s economy will return to growth next year and parties in the current ruling coalition will share the political benefits of this growth.
