A two-trip subway card will cost 3 lei (EUR1=RON4.2523), a ten-trip card will cost RON9, and a monthly pass with maximum 62 trips will cost RON27.

Metrorex will introduce three new types of subway cards, namely, a weekly unlimited pass for RON15, a weekend card for RON6 and a monthly unlimited pass for RON50.

The increase in subway transport tariffs was initially planned for September 15, but it was subsequently put off for a later date.

Metrorex last increased tariffs in April 2009.
