Boc said the Government has consulted union leaders on changes in labor laws and talks will continue next week as well, when the bill may be amended in Parliament before the confidence vote procedure.

Unions have said the country’s new Labor Code encourages modern slavery and employees aren’t protected sufficiently. Unions have also called for protests and strikes over new labor laws.

Opposition parties have said they are determined to submit a no-confidence motion in a bid to oust the Government over labor legislation.
