Romanian Family Doctors Stand Firm In Negotiations On Healthcare Contract

Doina Mihaila, president of family doctor association FNPMF, said Saturday that the frame-contract on healthcare was amended a few days ago and „it has some good parts.” Still, she said, the doctors are disappointed that the budget allotted to family medicine is low.

Mihaila said negotiations on the final form of the contract, between the Health Ministry and the National Health Insurance House, are not complete. The association will request a grace period of two weeks to one month before signing.

If the frame-contract is not published in the Official Journal in the form agreed on with the doctors, they will not sign, said Mihaila.
