Boc assured Chinese investors during an economic forum in Beijing that Romanian and EU laws allow the granting of state aid under certain conditions.

Boc said Saturday Chinese investors said they would bid for major investment projects in Romania and would offer low prices for works, and also inquired about state aid options.

Romania is looking to China for investors in several projects, including the construction of two nuclear reactors, new coal facilities for thermal power producer Termoelectrica, and a new subway line.

The Romanian Government’s delegation to China consists of the prime minister and Economy Minister Ion Ariton, Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi, and Transport Minister Anca Boagiu, as well as representatives of Romanian businesses.
