Romania’s Real Estate Transactions In Jan-Feb Dn 26% On Yr

The number of Romania’s real estate transactions in the first two months fell by 26% to 82,860, from 112,000 in the same period of 2008, the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration said Wednesday.

In February, the number of real estate transactions was at 42,720, up 6% compared with 40,142 in January.

Cadastre and real estate publicity operations in the first two months of 2009 was of to 523,200, down 21% compared with the January-February period of 2008.

The agency reported in 2008 more than 4.1 million cadastre and real estate publicity operations, up 5% compared with 2007 and 708.623 real estate transactions, 12% more than in 2007.
