Regis Mougel, No Longer GM Of Romania’s Auchan Operator

Mougel said he intends to further stay in Romania, adding he would work in another field of activity.

In January, Auchan announced the acquisition of a 51% stake in MGV Distri-Hiper, the company which operates Auchan hypermarkets in Romania, thus increasing its shareholding to 100%.

MGV Distri-Hiper SA was set up on May 17, 2005 to set up and operate stores under the Auchan brand in Romania.

Auchan has 6 hypermarkets in Romania, and plans to open 2 new hypermarkets in 2009.

The company had 3,500 employees on 31 December 2008.
